Too fast

Christmas came fast and went fast. The whole year went fast. I can't believe it's almost 2008. I remember when I was young and hearing adults always say they can't believe how time flies. I thought by the time I was an adult, I would be used to the fact that time flies by. That sure hasn't happened.

Here are a couple family pictures from Christmas this year.

Here is Kaeli eating snow. She pushes her nose all around the snow eating it up. It's cute.

Here is a card I made the other day.

The card uses Enjoy Every Moment stamp set (coming out Jan 1st in the new SU! catalog!). Cardstock: Kraft, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White. Ink: Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, StazOn White. Accessories: Silver brad, Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals.

Here is another card I made the other day too.

Stamp sets: Define Your Life and Garden Silhouettes. Cardstock: Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, DS Linen Prints. Ink: Chocolate Chip, StazOn White, Old Olive. Accessories: Pretties kit for the hat pin, beads and flower; Hemp twine, Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Crop-a-dile, On Board Lots of Letters, Aqua Painter.

It snowed last night!

I stayed up late finishing everything up for Christmas and didn't have any clue that it was going to snow. So this morning I was suprised to see snow! It was maybe half an inch of snow. It was cloudy when I got up and about 9am it started snowing really hard. Here is a picture of what it was like out our front door.

Then, no joke, like 20 mins later, this is what it looked like. It was a short little mini blizzard.

I'm glad we finally got some snow though! If it's going to be freezing, there might as well be snow on the ground.

Merry Christmas Eve Day!!

Good busy day

Here is a card I made. It's cased from Kelly and Kristina's cards. There is a pocket on the inside to hold a gift card. My card finished size is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" to fit in a regular size envelope.

The card used supplies from the December Monthly Kit. The card base is 5 1/2" x 9 1/2" and scored at 3 1/4" and 7 1/2". Stamp sets: Garden Silhouettes and Baby Jesus is Born. Ink: Real Red and Old Olive classic. Paper: Dashing DS paper, River Rock, Real Red, Old Olive, Very Vanilla textured cardstock. Accessories: Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Brads, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals, sand paper.

Today my friend, Amy, came over and she baked Christmas goodies for gifts and I baked dog treats for gifts. They were fun to make and Kaeli loves them!

I found the recipe online and browsed through recipes until I found one with ingredients I already had here. I printed the recipe and didn't save the website, but it states it's from the Three Dog Bakery Cookbook. Uses 2 cups of whole-wheat flour (I used All purpose flour), 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 cup natural peanut butter (I used regular cheap PB) and 1 cup of skim milk.

Here is a picture of Amy's dog, Sandy. She also loved the treats too.

And here is a picture of Kaeli I took tonight in front of the tree. As you can see I have lights on the tree now!

Winter Banner

Out with the old.

In with the new.

10,000 Pictures

Today I took the 10,000th picture on my new Nikon that I got 9-6-07. I bet if I would not have went back to work, I would have achieved this a lot sooner.

The actual 10,000th picture wasn't good, but here is what I was taking pictures of today. Last night we put up our Christmas tree. Sunday we went out tree hunting and cut it down. Loads of fun.

Here is a card I made with the December Monthly Kit.

Everything except the stamp set and ink is included in the December Monthly Kit. Stamp set: Garden Silhouettes. Ink: Real Red and Old Olive Classic. Paper: Dashing DS paper, Real Red, Old Olive, River Rock, Very Vanilla textured cardstock. Accessories: Brads, Double Stitched River Rock Ribbon.

It snowed a little

There was a little bit of snow on the ground this morning. It's slowly melting, it's 2pm and it's not all gone yet.

I finally made a bow. I've been wanting to try it. The directions are at splitcoast under Paper Bow. This bow used paper from my leftover Nov Monthly Kit.

This is a bow and a card made with my Dec Monthly Kit!

The above card used the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set that is coming out in the new Stampin' Up! catalog in January. Paper: Dashing DS patterned paper, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and Real Red textured cardstock. Ink: Old Olive Classic. Accessories: Silver Brads, 1/2" Circle Punch, Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Crop-a-dile, and Dimensionals.

so sweet

Here is a picture I took of Kaeli this morning while I was on the computer. I think her feet are just so cute when she sleeps like this.

Here is a mini box and 3x3 card for a workshop that I have coming up.

I used Prints Designer Series Paper in Rose Red and Certainly Celery. The box top was 6"x6" and the bottom was 5 1/2"x5 1/2". Using a Rose Red 1/2" strip for the band across the top and Linen Thread to tie a bow. I punched a Word Window strip from Whisper White paper. And clipped a Mini Library Clip to the top. For the card, the base is Kraft, then layered Whisper White and the Prints patterned paper, and then a strip of Rose Red cardstock. Attached two silver brads to the each side. Stamped the image using Black StazOn and then used the blender pen and Stampin' Pastels to color the tree. The image is on Whisper White and layered on Certainly Celery.

Cute little boxes

Here are two boxes I made. I used the Splitcloast written tutorial and Kristina Werner's video tutorial. The first box was made from leftover supplies from the November kit. The paper was cut to 6"x6" for the top and 5 1/2"x5 1/2" for the bottom.

This box was made with 12"x12" paper for the top and 11 1/2"x11 1/2" for the bottom. The ribbon is Very Vanilla Taffeta.

Some cards

I wanted to do some abstract cards, so here is what I came up with. On the first card, the Thank you stamp is from a new stamp set that will be coming out in January. The set is called Enjoy Every Moment. It has some fun stamps in it.

This one isn't an abstract one, but it was fun and easy to make.

Birthday Card

I cased this card from Cards magazine (by ScrapbookTrends) vol 2, issue 4, page 130, by Courtney Kelly.

All suplies are Stampin' Up!, except for the sewing machine/thread and I printed Happy Birthday from my computer. The patterned paper is from the Creative License Simply Scrappin' hostess kit. And the cardstock is Wild Wasabi textured and Whisper White. I added the build-a-brad, which is way fun and easy to do.

2nd page from Nov Kit

Here is another scrapbook page I made with the November kit.

All supplies are made with leftovers from the same November kit I started with this month (except for the Very Vanilla card stock for journaling). The page is pretty simple, but I wanted to show the different pictures like they were from a different time. I used two different sheets of DS Apple Cider paper cut in half. Wild Wasabi and Close to Cocoa card stock behind the pictures. The card stock is edged in white StazOn to give it more dimension. The tabs are from the Pockets and Pieces die cuts. I wrote on the tabs with a Basic Black Journaler. I printed the journaling from my computer onto Very Vanilla card stock. Sewed with a vanilla colored thread with sewing machine around paper. Adhered ribbon from Theater Ribbon Originals.

Another card from my kit

Here is another card I made, still from leftovers from my November Kit. I still have a ton of supplies leftover to make a bunch more scrapbook pages or projects. This is also for Beate's WSC27.

This is another 3"x3" card. I used Pumpkin Pie textured card stock as the base. Then layered with River Rock textured card stock and two different sheets from the DS Apple Cider paper pack. I cut the flower out from a sheet of the DS Apple Cider paper. I used the Colluzle to cut the circle. I used the 1/2" circle punch to make the ticket corners. The brads are silver. I used dimensionals below the River Rock, circle DS paper, and under the cut out flower. I also distressed the edge of the circle and inked the edges using Chocolate Chip classic ink on the three layers.

Thanks Card

Here is a Thanks card I made from my November Scrapbooking Kit. It is also for Beate's WSC26 Challenge.

All supplies to make the card are leftover from my November Scrapbooking kit except the Thanks stamp. The card is 3"x3" in size. I used the Wild Wasabi Textured cardstock as the base. Then Pumpkin Pie Textured cardstock layered with Designer Series Apple Cider paper. I used So Much stamp set for the Thanks stamped with Close to Cocoa ink on River Rock Textured cardstock. The ribbon is from Theater Ribbon Originals and it is just cut 3" long and adhered to the paper. The flower is cut from the DS Apple Cider paper and then 1 1/4" circle punched from Wild Wasabi Textured cardstock with an Antique Brass brad in the center.

Happy Halloween!

I cased this card off SCS Stamp4U. I used the Haunt Is Where The Home Is stamp set. Plus, a new thing I've realized is that I can use my 1/2" circle punch to replicate the Ticket Corner punch. Just put the corner of the paper in to fill 1/4 of the circle and it works pretty good! I don't have the Ticket Corner punch, so I don't know if it's exact or not, but it looks pretty good to me.

I'm Back

Back from the trip. We got back late Saturday night. My husband and his two brothers were hunting for bull (male) elks. They didn't get one, but we still had a lot of fun. This is a group picture of us in front of our tent. It's a big tent that we each had our own cot and there is a wood stove in the tent to keep us warm. It was pretty cold outside, so it was nice when we got the fire going.

Gone Camping!

I'm leaving right now to head 3 hours East of here to go camping in the woods. My husband and his brother left two days ago, so I'm going to go find them and stay with them. I am coming back on Saturday. I'm so excited to take lots of pictures. Hopefully I'll get some good ones!

Pumpkins

I'm on the left, with my friends. Seven of us went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was a chilly day, but nice outside. We all picked out some pumpkins and then we watched people shoot pumpkin's out of a cannon. It was pretty cool, the pumpkins would go pretty far.

Here are a couple of the pumpkins and a gourd I got!

I made a card today! This is for Beate's challenge this week. Today we are going to the pumpkin patch with some friends. I'm looking forward to it, I've been wanting to get some pumpkins.

No time for play today

I wasn't able to do anything creative today, maybe there is hope for tomorrow. Here is the mini notebook I decorated to swap with at regionals. Kitty had to be in the picture again. He is showing off his staples he got too. I took them out last week and it healed very well. His hair is starting to grow back, but it looks like he might have a little bald spot from the scar. Maybe the scar will show the neighbor kitties how tuff he is and not to mess with him... hehe.

Here is the other card I had made for swaps.

This is another card that we made at the regional training.
