A card, new shotgun, and almost crawling

I made a card! I cased this from a card on splitcoast, from StampinStrazny.

I went bird hunting with Dan the other month and had to borrow a gun. I had a lot of fun, so Dan got me my own shotgun. We went target shooting the other day, so I got to shoot it for the first time.

Wyatt is almost crawling. He gets up on all fours and then kind of lunges towards things and will do a sort of army crawl too.

two cards and two pictures

I made these two cards with this month's kit. This first one is a 3"x3" card. I kept with the same design as the card in the last post.

And this one is 4"x4".

Here are two pictures I took of Wyatt. He is a month old now. I copied the onesie idea from Susan Weinroth.

Thanks for looking. I'm off to do some weeding now.

I'm back!

I got my computer back finally! Not too happy with BestBuy, but enough about the computer. Here is a card I made with the April kit!

This is Wyatt, my friends baby. This first pic, he is about 1/2 an hour old sitting under the warmer at the hospital.

This picture is of Wyatt 4 days old. I'm so excited to have a new subject to take pictures of.

Couple cards

Here is another card I made with this months kit. Since I used one of the scallop note cards on the "us" book, I needed to make a card to go with the big envelope. The card is 6"x6" to fit into the envelope. All supplies used are Stampin' Up!

Here is a card I made using the Sale-a-bration Rub-ons, which is the prize for this months scrapbooking kit drawing. You can still buy this months kit to get in on the drawing! And again, all supplies are Stampin' Up!

I think it's been awhile since I posted a pic of Kaeli. I don't know if it's normal, but she sure yawns a ton!

Carousel Card and Flowers!

Here is a card from this month's kit! This card took me three days to complete. I'd work on it for awhile and it just wasn't coming together. I almost gave up a couple times, but I didn't and said to myself that I'll just come back to it later. I kept coming back to it and thinking of something new to add and I think it turned out pretty well. It's pretty girly and floral, which isn't my style at all.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! All paper used is from my March Monthly Scrapbook Kit. The card opens from the bottom and folds up.

I have flowers blooming in my front yard! These are crocus flowers and are usually the first flowers to bloom after winter. I'm so excited for summer to come!

Scallop Notes card

Here is a card I made for a workshop this month. The base is from the Scallop Notes pack from SU! in kraft.

I haven't been posting very often lately. I also haven't been craftin' much lately either. Just haven't felt into it. I do feel like listing what I've been up to though.
  • Taking pics and Flickr
  • Not working anymore at the FD, they let me go for now, I might go back if they get money in next year's budget for a half time position. I'm excited about being off again though, loving it.
  • We went to the Central OR Symphony last night. Was very cool. I'm not good at sitting still that long, but was neat to go to.
  • Getting ready to go to the CK Scrapbook convention this weekend in Portland OR.
  • Still working out and using the President's Challenge log. I've now done three weeks of having a full star each time (which means I've worked out 5 times each week).
  • Cleaning the house

That's all I can think of now. Till next time! :-)

Thanks card

I copied this card from another that I made at SU! Regionals. I didn't add the scallop edge though, just didn't feel like it.

On the inside, it says "So much" just like the other one did too.

Two cards and Phil

Here are two cards I made this morning from the Feb Kit.

I totally forgot yesterday was Groundhog's Day. I love the movie, it's one of my fav's! I did a search just now to see if Phil, the groundhog, saw his shadow. I found Groundhog.org. It's a pretty neat website and it says that we have 6 more weeks of winter! I hope we get more snow!

Stuff

This viewpoint is from the side of the road (at the entrance to the pumpkin patch's corn maze) on the way to Smith Rock State Park. One of my trips to the actual park I saw some people on the side of the road with their tripods out and taking pictures from this viewpoint. In my mind I thought they were kind of crazy, but then I looked at the view and it is a very pretty shot.

I made this card using Jan's monthly kit. It is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge #30. I was having a little bit of a hard time with it, so I went with the more funky/abstract take on it.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! Paper: DS Bali Breeze, Whisper White and Basic Black textured cardstock. Stamp sets: Define Your Life. Ink: Basic Black Classic. Accessories: Black button, colluzle, dimensionals.

I made this page also with the Jan Monthly Kit.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for the white acrylic paint, sewing machine and thread. Paper: DS Bali Breeze, Pumpkin Pie textured cardstock and naturals white. Stamps: Office Accoutrement. Ink: Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black. Accessories: Jersey's Ribbon, Certainly Celery buttons.

A card and Kitty screaming

Here is a card I made for Beate's challenge. The card used leftovers from my Jan Kit.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for the staples. Paper: Bali Breeze patterned paper, Black textured cardstock and Old Olive cardstock. Ink: Basic Black classic and White StazOn. Stamps: Enjoy Every Moment. Accessories: Old Olive 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Pretties Kit, Colluzle circle cutter, paper piercer.

Here is a picture of kitty screaming at me wanting water. He's gotten into this bad habit of drinking water from the sink in the bathroom. So he will meow super super loud when he wants some.

Jan tagged me! So I have to list 7 random/weird/little-known things about me and tag 7 other people. I'm not going to tag anyone else, but if you want to play feel free to.
  1. We canceled our cable tv a couple months ago, so I watch The Office online.
  2. I can type like 90 wpm.
  3. I was a firefighter/paramedic for three years and then got a position as a deputy fire marshal.
  4. I quit my job as a deputy fire marshal to be a housewife, but now I'm somehow back part time.
  5. I love being on the computer, I'm a nerd.
  6. I ran the Portland marathon (26.2 miles) a couple years ago.
  7. We are going to Australia this summer for World Youth Day.

Too fast

Christmas came fast and went fast. The whole year went fast. I can't believe it's almost 2008. I remember when I was young and hearing adults always say they can't believe how time flies. I thought by the time I was an adult, I would be used to the fact that time flies by. That sure hasn't happened.

Here are a couple family pictures from Christmas this year.

Here is Kaeli eating snow. She pushes her nose all around the snow eating it up. It's cute.

Here is a card I made the other day.
