I'm back with a prize!

This last week my husband and I traveled to Arizona to help drive back his Grandparents that go there during the winter. It was a great trip. Wonderful weather, 80-90's, blue sky, gorgeous! We came home Friday to a little snow and freezing weather... I so want to go back.

Before we left for the little vacation, I took my computer hard drive to Best Buy because the cd burner hadn't been working for a little while, so I thought it would be the perfect time. Well, it's still not ready and they think it's the motherboard so it has to get shipped out and they said it can take a couple weeks... I so miss my computer! So, I will be checking my email at the library. It's too bad we didn't have an extra couple thousand dollars to go buy a laptop! Oh well.

So, since I can't upload any pictures for a little while, I thought I would give away a stamp set! It's the Friendship Blooms set from Sale-a-bration. To enter, leave a comment on this post and tell me a funny April Fools joke that has happened to you or you have played on another person. If you can't think of one, you can still enter, just leave a comment. Please only one comment per person. I will leave it open until April 7th and draw the name on April 8th when I come to the library.

I might be able to use a friends computer every once in awhile to upload projects and maybe a pic or two from my trip. Happy end of March!

Mini Notebook

Here is a mini notebook I covered and decorated. I bought a cheap little notebook from the store and used this month's kit to cover it.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! except for the notebook. The stamp is from the Office Accoutrement set and ink is Chocolate Chip.

Just a side note, I will be taking a little break from blog land this coming week for Easter and family. I will be back to blog land the end of the month. Happy Spring!

Couple cards

Here is another card I made with this months kit. Since I used one of the scallop note cards on the "us" book, I needed to make a card to go with the big envelope. The card is 6"x6" to fit into the envelope. All supplies used are Stampin' Up!

Here is a card I made using the Sale-a-bration Rub-ons, which is the prize for this months scrapbooking kit drawing. You can still buy this months kit to get in on the drawing! And again, all supplies are Stampin' Up!

I think it's been awhile since I posted a pic of Kaeli. I don't know if it's normal, but she sure yawns a ton!

a book for us

Here is a mini book I made with this months kit. Right now it just has blank kraft pages waiting to be filled.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! except for the binding rings (from an office supply store). The letters "us" are from SU! On Board Lots of Letters. I painted the letters and the edges with acrylic paint. And edged the book in Close to Cocoa ink. If you have any questions about the book, please let me know by either commenting or emailing me. Thanks for looking!

Carousel Card and Flowers!

Here is a card from this month's kit! This card took me three days to complete. I'd work on it for awhile and it just wasn't coming together. I almost gave up a couple times, but I didn't and said to myself that I'll just come back to it later. I kept coming back to it and thinking of something new to add and I think it turned out pretty well. It's pretty girly and floral, which isn't my style at all.

All supplies are Stampin' Up! All paper used is from my March Monthly Scrapbook Kit. The card opens from the bottom and folds up.

I have flowers blooming in my front yard! These are crocus flowers and are usually the first flowers to bloom after winter. I'm so excited for summer to come!

Extra Hostess Promotion!

Between March 18th to April 30th, Stampin' Up! is giving an extra Hostess Promotion of $25 to qualifying orders (total of $350 or more). In addition to this, I'm giving an extra $25 if you do a Catalog Order! It's easy, just take a catalog around to your friends and family and get orders. This also means, you don't have to live in my area. Just let me know and I will ship you a catalog and order forms. And I will have the entire order shipped directly to you! If you have any questions or would like to get this special, email me!

A 6"x6" page

Here is a 6"x6" page I made with the new March kit. It was fun to make. I used a new ribbon technique I learned at the CK Convention. The convention was lots of fun, but exhausting. I truly do not know how some of the ladies go all day long and do the night crops too.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for sewing machine and thread. To copy the ribbon idea, first put a strip of adhesive on the paper where you will want the ribbon. Next lay a little bit of ribbon down and make a small fold and press some more ribbon down. Keep doing this the whole way. You can make the folds small or big. The class didn't have us sew on the ribbon, but I think it will help keep it stuck down and I like the look.

I'm back and here is the new kit

I'm back from the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention in Portland OR this weekend. Here is March's Monthly Kit! (And like always, click on the image to see it larger.)
