At the library

I'm at the library making a quick post because my computer is getting fixed. The cd burner was not working. Hopefully it should be done soon. I'm still able to check email and everything from the library. Plus, maybe I'll find a good book.

I was also gone for a couple days. Saturday I went to a wedding in Portland. Then from Sunday to Tuesday I stayed with my parents at their beach house in Newport. It was actually blue sky while we were there too. I took some pictures of the beach, I'll post them when the computer is fixed. Then I went back to Portland and stayed with Dan's brother, Pat, and his wife, Courtney. We did some scrapbooking while their kids were sleeping and then went to the Portland Zoo. It was fun going to the zoo with a 3 year old.

Clean shoes

I bought a new pair of running shoes. My old pair were getting worn out. So, I scrubbed and washed my old shoes. It makes them look so new! Kaeli is taking a nap while the shoes dry. When I saw the shoes lined up, I thought it might make a cute picture with Kaeli in the background. The weather has been nice lately and so I've been out walking/jogging Kaeli. I'm contemplating if I should sign up for the Heaven Can Wait 5K. It is the best race I think. Just the power of women getting together for a cause is so amazing. If I sign up soon, then I can save money on the registration fee.

Home Alone!

Dan flew out to Maryland the other day. He will be gone for two weeks at the fire academy. I've talked to him and he said the weather there is crappy. The Nor'Easter storm is making it windy and rainy there.

So while I'm home alone, I've been busy making projects for my upcoming workshops. Including an easy Mother's Day card, it's pretty cute. I'd show it, but I don't want to ruin the surprise for the guests at the workshops!

My First Day!

Yesterday felt like the last day of school. I have no regrets for my/our decision for me to quit my fire department job. It was a great job, but it's time to move on. I was with the fire department for 7 years. Time sure did fly by. Enough about the past, here is a scrapbook page I made about today.

I used the Office Accoutrement stamp set from the Spring Mini catalog. Once I got the idea in my head for a page about today being the first day, the page went pretty fast.

I had fun making some tags today using my new tag punches. There are two sizes, the larger is perfect for using as a background color.

Two cards

Chicks and Class Projects

Dan, my husband, brought home two chicks on Friday. They are pretty cute and make cute little chirps. We will raise them until they get big enough and then they will go to Dan's mom's house to live. My friend Seth named them Bert and Ernie.
