i edited a picture!

I finally got photoshop to work... don't have a clue what was wrong either.

I think it might take me a bit to go through and pick my favs out and then find the time to edit them (even though it doesn't take that long, it's still hard to find time since Jackson usually is trying to help me.) Here is another one that my dad took.

I realized most of the recent pictures on my cell phone are of Jackson climbing on stuff. So here they are.

Also, I don't think I've talked about this before (?) but I wanted to explain it a little. Jackson wears babylegs (the leggings) pretty much full time while we are at home. It makes it so easy to change his diaper and to have him pee on the potty, etc. He also doesn't wear a diaper cover (waterproof cover) while at home, so I know right when he's wet and it makes it easier too (and is another reason why pants don't work at home). And now that it's freezing outside, we just put a cover and pants on to go out. The babylegs keep him extra warm and especially keep his legs warm when his pants ride up when he's being held. I just wanted to explain why he's never wearing pants in most pictures I take. :-)

He is able to step on a small toy to climb up on the couch now too. Once he's up on the couch, he doesn't quite understand safety around the edge and how to get off without doing a face dive. We've had to move most toys away. He's pretty close to being able to climb up without any toys though.

My mom got Jackson this lion for Christmas. He likes playing with it. He pushes it around and sits & bounces on it. He's also wearing a new diaper I made.

And my mom got me a food dehydrator! Here is my first time using it. I dried apples, pears and bananas. They turned out good. It's a nice snack to eat for something new. I'm going to do some frozen (soon to be thawed) mangos next.

I didn't edit these pics at all, I just lowered the quality on my camera and uploaded them straight. Hopefully they don't take too long to view. I found out I could also use photobucket to edit/crop pics too if I need. I couldn't find on photobucket a way to change the dpi to 72 for the pictures though. If you know of a free site that does that, let me know!

couple of new things

I didn't want to wait till his monthly picture and monthly doings to journal this.

• Jackson is nodding his head "no" now. Saying no to food he doesn't want me to feed him and saying no to going potty when he doesn't want to. It's pretty neat.
• He starts to dance (bouncing) when music comes on. He's pretty cute. I'll try to get a video of it.
• And after a little hiatus of clapping and waving, he is back to clapping big time now and waving a little more. He even clapped when a show on TV had clapping.

A tooth is definitely in now. Not very tall out of the gums yet, but it's coming.

ugh .... photoshop

I'm having problems installing photoshop... But I wanted to write something real quick. Jackson has started to high-five now on command. It's pretty cute.

I also think he might be getting his first tooth soon. His bottom gums feel slightly different. There is a tiny sharp spot there. He won't let me look though.

9 month pics

We went to spend a late Christmas with my family for a few days. While we were there, my dad took some 9 month pictures of Jackson. Here is a fav. I will add some more later.
