A page and some pictures

Here is a 12x12 page I made with this month's kit. I edited the picture first in photoshop. The picture is of my husband's grandparents.

I really wanted the focus to be on them. There was a lot of other colors in the street, so I made it b&w except for them. Then selected a square around them, inversed it and blurred it, then stroked a white line of the selected square to highlight the difference.

Here are some pictures I took yesterday of Wyatt. These are some of my favorites. I uploaded more on my flickr account (link is to the right).

A 6"x6" page

Here is a 6"x6" page I made with the new March kit. It was fun to make. I used a new ribbon technique I learned at the CK Convention. The convention was lots of fun, but exhausting. I truly do not know how some of the ladies go all day long and do the night crops too.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for sewing machine and thread. To copy the ribbon idea, first put a strip of adhesive on the paper where you will want the ribbon. Next lay a little bit of ribbon down and make a small fold and press some more ribbon down. Keep doing this the whole way. You can make the folds small or big. The class didn't have us sew on the ribbon, but I think it will help keep it stuck down and I like the look.

Stuff

This viewpoint is from the side of the road (at the entrance to the pumpkin patch's corn maze) on the way to Smith Rock State Park. One of my trips to the actual park I saw some people on the side of the road with their tripods out and taking pictures from this viewpoint. In my mind I thought they were kind of crazy, but then I looked at the view and it is a very pretty shot.

I made this card using Jan's monthly kit. It is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge #30. I was having a little bit of a hard time with it, so I went with the more funky/abstract take on it.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! Paper: DS Bali Breeze, Whisper White and Basic Black textured cardstock. Stamp sets: Define Your Life. Ink: Basic Black Classic. Accessories: Black button, colluzle, dimensionals.

I made this page also with the Jan Monthly Kit.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for the white acrylic paint, sewing machine and thread. Paper: DS Bali Breeze, Pumpkin Pie textured cardstock and naturals white. Stamps: Office Accoutrement. Ink: Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black. Accessories: Jersey's Ribbon, Certainly Celery buttons.

A few pages!

Here is a page I made using this month's kit. The picture is taken at Smith Rock State Park last month.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for the sewing machine, thread and computer/printer for journaling. Paper: Bali Breeze paterned paper, Basic Gray textured cardstock. Accessories: Buttons, White 1/4" grosgrain ribbon.

These two pages I made with my leftovers from the December kit. I didn't have much time to do any scrapbook pages in actual December.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for the sewing machine, thread and computer/printer for journaling blocks. Paper: Dashing patterned paper, River Rock and Old Oive textured cardstock. Ink: Chocolate Chip. Accessories: Silver Brads, Tag Sheets die cuts, River Rock Double Stitched Ribbon, and Old Olive Jersey Ribbon.

I created this page because when I look back at Christmas pictures I always like trying to see what presents I got. So this way I can look back and remember what I got. I contemplated to write who each present was from, but I decided to keep it simple.

All supplies used are Stampin' Up! except for the sewing machine, thread, DMC floss and computer/printer for journaling blocks. Paper: Dashing patterned paper, River Rock, Very Vanilla and Real Red textured cardstock. Accessories: Clear Buttons, Tag Sheets die cuts, silver brads, Real Red zigzag stitch Jersey Ribbon.

2nd page from Nov Kit

Here is another scrapbook page I made with the November kit.

All supplies are made with leftovers from the same November kit I started with this month (except for the Very Vanilla card stock for journaling). The page is pretty simple, but I wanted to show the different pictures like they were from a different time. I used two different sheets of DS Apple Cider paper cut in half. Wild Wasabi and Close to Cocoa card stock behind the pictures. The card stock is edged in white StazOn to give it more dimension. The tabs are from the Pockets and Pieces die cuts. I wrote on the tabs with a Basic Black Journaler. I printed the journaling from my computer onto Very Vanilla card stock. Sewed with a vanilla colored thread with sewing machine around paper. Adhered ribbon from Theater Ribbon Originals.

Another Scrapbook page

Here is another scrapbook page (using only SU! products). The page is pretty simple because I wanted the pictures to stand out more.

These two pictures are funny when put next to each other. I took the one of Kaeli out in a field next to our house while she is chasing a tennis ball. And then the bunny is at the airport fire station. About 4-5 wild bunnies are always out in the front lawn. When I walked up, he started to run.

A scrapbook page!

I haven't truly scrapbooked in a long time. I've made quick little 6x6" pages for classes, but not scrapbooked solely for myself. Plus this page is done with only Stampin' Up! products. Everything was from the Creative License Simply Scrappin' kit from the hostess set (level 1). I made the stickers pop up with dimensionals. And I used the distressor on the papers and close to cocoa ink on the edges.

Workshop today

Here are the two projects that guests made at a workshop I had today. They are using some products from the Spring mini catalog, which only has 5 more days left.

I'm so anxious for the new Stampin' Up! catalog to come. I haven't received one yet. I'll be checking my mailbox everyday until I see it. I usually only check it maybe two times a week.

My First Day!

Yesterday felt like the last day of school. I have no regrets for my/our decision for me to quit my fire department job. It was a great job, but it's time to move on. I was with the fire department for 7 years. Time sure did fly by. Enough about the past, here is a scrapbook page I made about today.

I used the Office Accoutrement stamp set from the Spring Mini catalog. Once I got the idea in my head for a page about today being the first day, the page went pretty fast.

This morning

This morning I scrapbooked three pages! The cat page is pretty simple. It's the same picture that I posted on my first post here.

The picture of Dan and Kaeli, I used adobe photoshop brushes that I downloaded from Designfruit. I love involving the computer in making scrapbook pages. This page I did a bunch.

This is my niece. It was so cute how she curled her legs up when I put her on her stomach. Her mom is getting her ready for bed, hence the yawn.
