Clothes line, smiles and 30 days

Dan is making me a clothes line! It's almost done. Thanks Davinie for the old poles! Dan cleaned them up and painted them white. Then had to dig two holes and put the poles in concrete. Now all that is left is to string the line! I'm excited to have a true clothes line. I've always just hung items up inside or outside on a wooden folding rack when I want to air dry. We have such nice summers here, it will be nice.

Got some pictures of smiles yesterday, then Jackson got tired and fell asleep in the bouncy chair.

I did some digital scrapbooking! Pretty simple, but it took awhile to get all the pictures on there. It's size is for 12x12 paper.

Chickens and more

Our chickens are getting so big! We moved them outside now, day and night. Dan and some friends moved the coop to the other side of the fence yesterday (it's pretty heavy!).

Just a quick shot of Jackson drinking his bottle and in a new wool cover I got. After this picture I felt the cover was a little too big, so I tried felting it some to shrink it. Well now I think I shrunk it too much, oops!

Dan held Jackson while I took pictures of the chickens.

Hollyhocks

This is the fourth year my hollyhocks have come back now. It's amazing how good they are doing. Plus, no deer have been snacking on the leaves yet! Dan and I were talking about that yesterday and ironically I found deer prints in the dirt this morning when I was taking the pictures. So hopefully they don't start eating them.

The '09 picture really doesn't show them that well though. And it does show that I have weeds that I haven't gotten too. I'll say I'm leaving the weeds for the chickens!

More pics

Had some free time right now, so I thought I'd post some more pictures.

My Aunt Dorian made a wonderful quilt for Jackson. I love the colors and all the animals, it's such a neat quilt.

Great Grandparents

My Grandpa (my Dad's Dad) and my Grandma (my Mother's Mom) got to meet Jackson while in Albany too.

picnic

We went on our first overnight trip away from home this weekend. We went to Albany for two nights. Jackson did great and we had a lot of fun. Most of my family got to meet Jackson finally. On our way to Albany we stopped for a picnic and break from driving.

This was taken at Foster Lake off Hwy 20 just East of Sweet Home, Oregon.

Day camping!

Our friends, Seth, Amy and Wyatt, went camping last night, so we went with them for the day yesterday. We had a lot of fun. I love being outside so much.

I also forgot to add, last Monday, the 11th, Jackson had his 6 week doctor check-up. It went really well. He weighed 10.0 lbs and 23 inches long. It's funny, he was an even weight (and even when he was born). He is growing really good the doctor said!

Lots 'O pics: Book, Coop & Jackson and Wyatt

I did some scrapbooking! I made a mini book. It's 3x3 inches. The pictures didn't turn out super great, so I think it's cuter in person.

Dan has been working hard on finishing up the chicken coop! A friend and him got some old siding for free from a local preschool that is remodeling. I think it looks so neat!

Dan took this picture of me wearing Jackson in the moby wrap. Jackson really likes it a lot. He liked it early on, but he didn't like his head being covered until after he was asleep. Now he doesn't mind his head being covered when he's tired and getting ready to fall asleep. I think he had to get used to that part a little. I usually wear him in this at least a couple hours a day, some days longer. Some days when I take him out of it, I'll leave the wrap on and then it's ready for him to go back in when I'm ready. It works really good.

I finally got a picture of Jackson and Wyatt together! I've started watching Wyatt again three days a week now for one more month until school is out. I get Wyatt in the early morning when he still has his pajamas on, so they both have their pajamas on for the pic. Future best buds.

Holding his head up and a squeal

6 wks old and more pictures of course

Jackson is 6 weeks today! Here is a shot I got today. Jackson is smiling so much. While I was making dinner tonight, I had him in his chair (a vibrating rocker). I would stop and talk to him a bit making eye contact and he would smile. He did it a couple times, it was super cute. I think this is the first time that it for sure was a reaction to me, not tickling or out of the blue.

This was a picture from a couple days ago. Jackson is still in NB size clothes.

Dan put together the chicken coop in the back yard and is finishing it up. We will put it on the other side of the fence when it's done.

Kitty had to check it out too. I think he liked the view and security of it. Too bad, it's not his.

Yesterday, Jackson had some visitors. Uncle Trystin got to give Jackson his bottle.

Quick post on a rainy afternoon

Here is a picture I took earlier this week.
