Happy Halloween!

I cased this card off SCS Stamp4U. I used the Haunt Is Where The Home Is stamp set. Plus, a new thing I've realized is that I can use my 1/2" circle punch to replicate the Ticket Corner punch. Just put the corner of the paper in to fill 1/4 of the circle and it works pretty good! I don't have the Ticket Corner punch, so I don't know if it's exact or not, but it looks pretty good to me.

I'm Back

Back from the trip. We got back late Saturday night. My husband and his two brothers were hunting for bull (male) elks. They didn't get one, but we still had a lot of fun. This is a group picture of us in front of our tent. It's a big tent that we each had our own cot and there is a wood stove in the tent to keep us warm. It was pretty cold outside, so it was nice when we got the fire going.

Gone Camping!

I'm leaving right now to head 3 hours East of here to go camping in the woods. My husband and his brother left two days ago, so I'm going to go find them and stay with them. I am coming back on Saturday. I'm so excited to take lots of pictures. Hopefully I'll get some good ones!

Pumpkins

I'm on the left, with my friends. Seven of us went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was a chilly day, but nice outside. We all picked out some pumpkins and then we watched people shoot pumpkin's out of a cannon. It was pretty cool, the pumpkins would go pretty far.

Here are a couple of the pumpkins and a gourd I got!

A card!

I made a card today! This is for Beate's challenge this week. Today we are going to the pumpkin patch with some friends. I'm looking forward to it, I've been wanting to get some pumpkins.

No time for play today

I wasn't able to do anything creative today, maybe there is hope for tomorrow. Here is the mini notebook I decorated to swap with at regionals. Kitty had to be in the picture again. He is showing off his staples he got too. I took them out last week and it healed very well. His hair is starting to grow back, but it looks like he might have a little bald spot from the scar. Maybe the scar will show the neighbor kitties how tuff he is and not to mess with him... hehe.

Here is the other card I had made for swaps.

This is another card that we made at the regional training.

Back from regionals

I had a great time at the SU! Regional training. Here are all the swaps I came back with! There are some great ideas in here.

SU! had great make and takes. Here is one of the cards I made. The purely pomegranate paper is wrapped all the way around the back side of the kraft color paper.

I learned a lot, but I think this is the coolest thing that I didn't know. You can turn the tab punch and make a complete and perfect circle. Granted, you don't have a whole punched out circle, but hey, at least I can punch big circles in paper!

Packing up for regionals

Here are all my cards I'm taking to regionals.

I leave today and will be back Saturday. Here is a 3-D item I made to possibly trade at regionals too. I made just one star book for it. I also made two decorated mini-notebooks. I'm excited to see what I trade for.

Swap card

Here is a card I made for the SU! Portland regional training. I made a total of 50 swaps. I was told that is a good number. I made four different cards. Two cards I've already shown, so I'll show the other new one later.

I got the Oh, So Lovely hostess stamp set two weeks ago, which I used on this card. I like the set a lot. I stamped the poppy stamp and colored it in with the aqua painter. I then stamped the poppy stamp again on the top of the sticky end of a post it note and cut it out. I then stuck the cut out mask down and then stamped the background. It worked great! I reused the mask over and over again (for the 15 cards I made). I also used the Stamp-a-ma-jig (p 184 in the SU! catalog) with the Journey stamp. I just got the Stamp-a-ma-jig recently and I love it. I have been wanting it for awhile, but have always gotten other items. I am so glad I got it.

Busy

Wednesday I started back to work (at the fire dept, as the deputy fire marshal) temporarily until they find a replacement. The person that was working there resigned, so they needed some help. I worked three days this week, pretty weird being back into that routine. And the last two nights, I've gone out to dinner with friends, each for a special occasion. So, I've really been away from home. I haven't had any time to do any scrapbooking/card making and I even got an order of new stuff on Wed, so I haven't been able to play with it yet. I'm excited that I get to today!

Here is a card I made a week ago. It is for my husband. Just a simple quick card.

Poor Kitty

I had to take kitty to the vet this morning. He got an abscess from fighting with an orange neighbor cat. On Saturday the wound opened up and kitty kept licking at it making it bigger. So kitty got two staples and now I have to give him a pill once a day for a week. He won't take pills even if they are in food. So, I have to use a pill popper thing that puts them way down his throat. It's not fun at all.

No cards to show today. I've been busy making swaps for the SU! regional training.
